IACCT (China) Highly Recommended Event: ACT International Treasury Week 2020

The first global virtual event International Treasury Week 2020 of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (“ACT”) was successfully held from 11 to 14 May 2020. There are more than 3,000+ treasury professionals from over 80 countries registered for this event which is supported by international professional treasury associations including International Association of CFOs and Corporate Treasurers (China) (“IACCT (China)”) in Asia, European Association of Corporate Treasurers in Europe, International Group of Treasury Associations and National Association of Corporate Treasurers in the US.

Global treasury and finance community find themselves facing the challenging market disruptions under COVID-19. IACCT (China) considers supporting our members as our first priority and is delighted to bring this very successful event to our members and treasury peers in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Registered delegates learnt and discussed the latest developments, and find out in real-time what their colleagues were doing – and not doing – with a programme of live streams, webcasts, interactive sessions and Q&As. Registered delegates learnt from and exchanged ideas with expert speakers and treasury peers on a host of hot topics for treasury for a total of over 18 hours of content. This was an unprecedented online event for global community of treasury professionals.

The event explores the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic on treasury, short and long term. Registered delegates would benefit from four days of dedicated discussions and problem-solving sessions. Please click the [Link] for the detailed agenda and key speakers. 

There were many valuable concepts, ideas, advices and solutions for sharing interactively between the registered delegates and the expert speakers. The whole event was held through the online platform so that delegates could participate in any session at any time in any location they preferred. To help delegates having good and in-depth understanding of the contents of all sessions, registered delegates can benefit from the following features of the programme:

1. All sessions of the event are recorded. Registered delegates can access the recordings of any session they have missed or they are interested to watch again at any time in any location they prefer before 11 June 2020;

2. Registered delegates can share their comments or learn from the comments of other treasury peers in the Discussion Forum until 11 June 2020; and

 3. A daily summary of the highlights for all topics discussed in each day.

Through the various sessions of the event, treasurers can look to the experience of others, learn and leverage international best practices, understand new working norms and roles of Treasury and set up a sustainable finance framework within the company to safeguard the company against further serious impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
