IACCT (China) Signature Conference 2020

PART A – EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

International Association of CFOs and Corporate Treasurers (China) (“IACCT (China)”) was pleased to host our IACCT (China) Signature Conference 2020 (“Signature Conference) on 27 November 2020 at HKEX Connect Hall Boardroom, Hong Kong. The theme of the Signature Conference is “Hong Kong – A Shining and Inspiring International Financial Centre”. The successful completion of the Signature Conference represents the concerted efforts of all participants to pursue the aim to maintain the position of Hong Kong as the Asia’s international financial centre.

IACCT (China) would like to express our special thanks to our Sponsors, Knowledge Partners, Supporting Partners, Supporting Organizations, Senior Management of Selected Corporates (see the list), Corporate CFOs and Treasurers and last but not least all registrants of the Signature Conference.

IACCT (China) is honoured to have the support of the distinguished, highly-respected, heavy-weight, expert speakers who have shared with our audience their expert insights on the various key topics on the theme: Hong Kong – A Shining and Inspiring International Financial Centre.

There are around 350 registrations from international treasury and finance professionals across three continents including Asia, Europe and Oceania. They are mainly the Corporate CFOs and Treasurers from countries including China (including cities of Hong Kong, Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen), Australia, UK, Pakistan, Singapore and Malaysia.

• A packed agenda of nearly eight hours of contents by our expert speakers for 9 keynote speeches and 8 presentations/panels

• The simultaneous interpretation from English to Putonghua has encouraged more registrations from Corporate CFOs and Treasurers in China.

• 37 speakers / panellists – 10 from Government Agencies and Public Organizations, 10 from associations and corporates, 8 from banks and financial institutions, 7 from fund management companies, 2 from professional accounting firms

• First online virtual treasury forum of IACCT (China) with simultaneous interpretation from English into Putonghua – complimentary for all attendees who are mainly local and international treasury and finance executives

• Around 350 registrations representing over 150 major Chinese and local corporates and multinationals. These registrants represent a well-balanced mix of executives from corporate treasury and finance (67%), banks and financial institutions (24%), Government agencies and public organizations (5%) and others (4%).

• 75% of registrants showed up during the live conference

FEEDBACK AND FOLLOW UP

The Signature Conference has received favourable feedback from many participants. We have received numerous requests from members and participants for watching the playback of the recordings for the various sessions which they might have missed or which they would like to watch again. It is the plan of IACCT (China) to provide the access rights to all registered attendees for watching the playback of the recordings.

It is also the plan of IACCT (China) to work together with our supporting partners in 2021 to host separate seminars with more in-depth details on the individual key topics of the Signature Conference. The aim is to keep the continuous concerted efforts of all supporting partners to maintain the position of Hong Kong as a shining and inspiring international financial centre.
